Sustainability 2.0 – Cotton
Walmart made a strategic choice to incorporate larger amounts of organic cotton into products sold in its textiles division, and is now the largest purchaser of organic and transitional cotton in the world.
Walmart is working with cotton farmers and textile suppliers to create a growing marketplace for sustainably-grown cotton while minimizing the environmental impacts of cotton farming.
