Comerica, Detroit Lions Tackle Food Insecurity During ‘Huddle For 100’
More than 130 Comerica Bank volunteers teamed up with the Detroit Lions to support its “Huddle for 100” community event tackling food insecurity and hunger in Michigan.
Comerica provided one of the largest volunteer groups among corporate and community partners, helping assemble boxes of food.
In all, more than 50,000 boxes of food will be made available for families in need across Michigan through local food banks, including Food Gatherers, Gleaners Community Food Bank, Forgotten Harvest, Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, Greater Lansing Food Bank and The Food Bank of South Central Michigan.
The “Huddle for 100” served as part of the NFL 100 initiative, which invites fans, players, clubs and employees to volunteer 100 minutes of their time and make a meaningful contribution to their communities through “Huddle for 100.”
