Unleashing our human potential...that’s one of the things we strive to do every day at AT&T, whether it’s providing innovative products and services to our customers or helping our employees serve their communities. I am continuously inspired by our approximately 243,000 employees, who every day are using their unique skills and passions to make a real, positive impact one person and one neighborhood at a time.
Recently, I was honored to author a column with Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant on the importance of education and workforce development.
A robust education system is central to the future of our state. By focusing on programs with proven results, we can have a measurable impact on the students that need it most and help us to meet our goal of improving graduation rates and building a strong workforce here in Mississippi.
Buildings across the country use water as a cooling agent. In 2012, AT&T embarked on a project with the non-profit Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) to identify water savings opportunities in our cooling system process.
Based on our findings we took actions to decrease our water usage. And, we created a free toolkit with resources to help other organizational leaders and facility managers jump-start their water management programs and realize potential water savings of 14-40 percent.
