Executive Director of Sales, Ailynn Seah, participated in a corporate social responsibility (CSR) recycling project organized by SCRAP at a Green Meeting Industry Council event two years ago in San Francisco. SCRAP, a non-profit creative reuse center, breathes new life into pre-loved or old objects and reduces waste by diverting over 200 tons of useful materials from landfills annually. These services are provided to the local community and the center also offers classes, workshops and volunteering opportunities.
Sands Cares donated $10,000 to Communities in Schools (CIS) of Nevada on March 3, in front of the LOVE installation in the Waterfall Atrium at The Palazzo Las Vegas. Sands Cares Director Stephanie Stanton and Vice President of Administration and Event Optimization at The Venetian and The Palazzo Anna Schmid presented the check to CIS of Nevada CEO Dr. Tiffany Tyler and Resource Development Director Brittany McCoy.
Las Vegas Sands’ properties throughout Asia and the US are once again planning a number of events during a one-week period to drive awareness of climate change and to encourage others to do their part to minimize their impact on the environment.
