Merck Named One of the Top 50 Best Companies for Latinas to Work by LATINA Style

Merck has been named one of the 50 best companies for Latinas to work for in the U.S. by LATINA Style, Inc, underscoring the company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. 

The LATINA Style 50 Report recognizes companies who support programs that encourage training, retention and promotion for Latinas within the company.  Evaluations for the 2020 report are based on 2019 data.

Energized, the team realized that a day — or even a week — would not be impactful enough. In 2018, PayPal anonymously surveyed a large sample of its hourly and entry-level employees to assess their financial security. The results indicated that almost two-thirds of surveyed employees reported periodically running out of money between paydays. This was disappointing and surprising, but provides a valuable lesson to other leaders: Although PayPal's internal analysis showed that it paid at or above market value for each of its employees, the wages were not always sufficient for many families.
