This fall, 50 new 2018 Subaru Outback vehicles will be donated to select Meals on Wheels programs throughout the country, to be used in the delivery of an estimated 53,000 meals to an additional 3,700 seniors across 39 states.
St. Louis STEM-Based Companies Invest in the Future
Each summer, St. Louis area companies, in collaboration with Washington University, invite approximately 200 teachers to the campus of Washington University in St. Louis for two weeks of in-depth STEM development. This includes new research-based methodologies and on-site experiences at local STEM companies to see practical application of some of the concepts that are being taught to make the connection between academia and industry.
The Safeway Foundation's Cancer Research and Treatment campaign raised $450,000 in stores throughout the division during the month of May. In addition, the foundation is awarding another $207,000 to beneficiaries of the campaign for a grand total of $657,000. The money raised benefits a variety of local organizations that provide services for breast cancer research and treatment in Northern Nevada, Northern California and Hawaii.
