Program to donate $20,000 to environmental nonprofits in Arizona

A programme to help budding entrepreneurs benefit from a good start in life has been launched at a De Beers Group Zimele business hub in South Africa.
Thirty-six people from the areas around Voorspoed mine have been identified for the programme, run by TrioPlus Development, a specialist mentoring and training company that focuses on small, micro and medium enterprises.
The Entrepreneurial Incubation Programme in Kroonstad, which kicked off with a four-day workshop, was for people with a business idea with a good chance of success.
Water is essential to society, and to making beer. However, today it is not managed optimally in too many areas of the world, and water scarcity is a major concern.
The Carlsberg Group’s vision for a better tomorrow is a world in which zero water is wasted.
In pursuit of this vision, Carlsberg has developed bold targets – including halving water usage at its breweries by 2030. Carlsberg will also form partnerships to safeguard shared water resources in high-risk areas around selected breweries, identified together with WWF.

The event also included a $10,000 donation from Carnival Cruise Line to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston. Additionally, for every Houston Texans Bear sold at a Build-A-Bear Workshop stores in the Houston area during the month of July, a portion of the proceeds will go to the Boys & Girls Clubs.
