YWCA Bristol Inaugural Event Promotes Empowered Women in the Workplace

To coincide with women’s history month, YWCA Bristol kicked-off its first workshop in the Emerge women’s professional series on March 20.

March 31, 2015 /3BL Media/ - Women from Northeast Tennessee to Southwest Virginia ascended Bays Mountain in Kingsport, Tennessee to take part in the inaugural event. Together, they explored topics such as leadership, multiple generations in the workplace, and negotiating from local, regional and national presenters. Eastman Corporate Social Responsibility sponsored the series because of the emphasis around empowerment and education for women that leads to impact on economic development. These are just some of the priority focus areas for Eastman and Corporate Social Responsibility team.

WASHINGTON, D.C., March 31, 2015 /3BL Media/ – The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) and Monsanto Company announced today a commitment to partner in support of NFWF’s Monarch Butterfly Conservation Fund. As the first company to contribute to NFWF’s Monarch Butterfly Conservation Fund, Monsanto will provide $3.6 million over three years to match funds provided by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and other federal agencies that will support habitat restoration, education, outreach and milkweed seed production to benefit monarch butterflies.

Bloomberg Supports Teams at FIRST® ROBOTICS Competition


Bloomberg continues our commitment to inspiring the next generation as lead sponsor of the 2015 NYC Regional FIRST® Robotics Competition. The Javits Center roared with 66 international teams and their families including 13 talented Bloomberg-sponsored robotics teams and their mentors. Five Bloomberg teams made it through to the final round with one, the Griffins 1884 from London, coming out on top.
