Workers Prefer Triple Bottom Line Employers

It’s conventional wisdom that today’s employees favor working for companies that include CSR and philanthropy in their practices and strategies. This preference for a workplace that includes a triple bottom line focus of people, planet, and profit in its mission has been reported in many surveys. The latest evidence comes from Regus, a flexible workspace provider. Surveying over US 13,000 respondents, Regus found that more than half (58%) said it was “important” that their employer is involved in charity. Another large number, 47%, said that they would choose to work for a more charitable company over a less socially engaged one. Other numbers: 30% of respondents think firms in their sector should be more involved in CSR and in charitable giving (42%). Employers, take note.
