CSR Minute: Honda Leads NA Automakers in Green Buildings; J. Lohr Vineyards Continues Touching Lives Campaign for Breast Cancer

Honda now leads all North American automakers in the number of LEED-certified green buildings. The company’s new head office in Ontario and the Powertrain Division’s facility in Ohio are the latest to be certified, making a total of 11 buildings with LEED Gold status. Honda green building features include conservation easements, energy-efficient heating and air conditioning systems, Energy Star-rated appliances, and wood certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
J. Lohr Vineyards and Wines is continuing its Touching 2000 Lives campaign to fund mammograms for women in need for a third year. In partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation, the company will donate $2 dollars from the sale of every bottle of any vintage of J. Lohr Carol’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc to fund mammograms for women who would otherwise be unable to afford them. The program has funded more than 2,000 mammograms to date.
