Hello, I’m Emily Polk, and these are your CSR Minute headlines for Wednesday, November 10th:

Avon has partnered with the Global Forest & Trade Network, a World Wildlife Fund initiative to eliminate illegal logging.  The cosmetics company will receive technical support from WWF to ensure that all papers used for product brochures and marketing papers are sourced responsibly. Avon has committed to purchasing 100 percent of its paper from independently certified sources.

The Home Depot Foundation has made a $400,000 dollar investment in Atlanta area nonprofits. The donation was made on the Foundation’s fifth Annual Building Community Day, an event recognizing the contribution of nonprofits to a more sustainable city. 20 organizations received the grants, adding to the $9 million dollars already donated by the Home Depot Foundation to nonprofits this year.
