MGM Resorts International has outlined its commitment to diversity, community engagement, and sustainability in its first consolidated CSR Report. The report notes that MGM has been ranked as the most “green” resort company by Newsweek magazine last year, and that the company’s recycling rates have increased four times to an overall rate of 38 percent.
Network for Good will host a “TweetUp” tomorrow at 1 pm Eastern Time to support the troops, veterans, and military families. The hash tag #c4gchat hosted by @Companies4Good will host patriotic cause marketing campaigns, including Got Your 6, a Hollywood effort aimed at bridging the civilian-military divide, and the Helping Heroes Home campaign, a partnership with AT&T, Causes.com, and the nonprofit Cell Phones for Soldiers.
Sustainability reporting was the main issue at the recent Responsible Business Summit sponsored by Ethical Corporation, held in New York. A key focus was on defining reporting as the foundation of an ongoing conversation with stakeholders rather than a one-time event.
