World Ocean Day, June 8, unites and rallies people around the world to protect and restore our blue planet. In honor of the occasion, Franklin Templeton’s Global Citizenship is highlighting a unique initiative in Baltimore. Since 2013, employees have helped to preserve the oyster population and improve the water quality in Baltimore through participation in the Great Baltimore Oyster Partnership. The program was created by the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore, in collaboration with local government, business and community partners.

With this grant, the AHA will convene a task force representing the myriad of stakeholders in the patient care journey: cardiology specialty care providers, primary care providers, government, payer groups, and representatives of the patients we seek to serve.

For Chris Battaglia, principal of Benjamin Franklin High School at Masonville Cove in Baltimore, Maryland, a new athletic facility under construction is an urban field of dreams, a safe, clean gathering space for students and families in a neighborhood plagued by crime and lacking some of the basics. (There’s no supermarket nearby, for instance.)
