GM/NWF collaboration reaches thousands of students
More than 4,000 kids are participating in a new environmental education initiative that’s helping them learn about STEM subjects through a green lens.
GM Eco-Green is a collaboration among the National Wildlife Federation and General Motors’ dealers, suppliers and non-manufacturing facilities across the U.S. The place-based, hands-on program exposes students to STEM career paths while encouraging them to become effective future leaders, problem solvers and environmental stewards.
Launches Eco-Schools USA collaboration with GM dealers, employees and suppliers
DETROIT, May 3, 2015 /3BL Media/– General Motors and the National Wildlife Federation are partnering to increase environmental education in schools. The new GM Eco-Green program will connect NWF’s network of over 3,700 participating Eco-Schools with local GM non-manufacturing facilities, dealers and suppliers. GM Eco-Green is NWF’s first large corporate-sponsored environmental outreach program, reaching thousands of students through community-based sustainability activities.
Starting at midnight on Wednesday, November 20, the Amway Universal Children’s Day came to life. Amway business owners and employees in more than 55 countries participated in volunteering, giving and advocacy with local partners.
We tracked over 100 projects, and are certain that there were many more that we may never know about. They started in Australia, moved around the world, passed through our headquarters in Ada, Michigan, and ended at our Nutrilite offices in Buena Park, California.
