In 2016, Cisco committed to positively impact one billion lives by 2025. We will achieve this goal through our social impact grants to nonprofits and our signature corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, like Cisco Networking Academy. Four years into our commitment, we are 47 percent of the way toward our goal (469 million lives impacted).
In one week we’ll be together at Cisco Live, in person or virtually, fueling our personal and professional growth through keynotes, events, and training focused on Cisco products, solutions, and services. This year’s event continues to celebrate what we can all make possible in this world with vision, focus, effort and technology.
But imagine for one moment your life with a different story. One that starts and ends each day in a car, on the streets, or in a homeless shelter. Impossible, right? Think again.

There’s hardly a more scrutinized stage to demonstrate Cisco’s best-of-breed network technology than at Cisco Live, our largest customer event of the year. Over 26,000 attendees will converge at the Orlando Convention Center from June 10-14 to check out Cisco’s latest solutions and meet with some of the best and brightest in the industry.
We’re just days away from the start of Cisco Live US 2018, with plenty planned for on-site attendees and those following along from home! This year’s event asks people to imagine the possibilities of a world with intuitive IT, where technology has the power to make anything possible.
Kwame Ohemeng and Zoe Rose did not expect to become IT networking professionals. Yet, they both went from being IT tinkerers to working side-by-side with Cisco engineers to build a massive network for Cisco Live as members of the Networking Academy Dream Team.

Every person has a few key events in their professional lives they will remember forever. Being the first male to host this year’s Cisco Empowered Women’s Network (CEWN) event is one of these moments for me. If you’re not familiar with CEWN, it is a network of Cisco customers, partners, and employees joining together to make a difference for women in IT. Their focus is on identifying the challenges and opportunities of today to truly drive change to empower the women of tomorrow.
Cisco Live US 2017 kicks off on June 25, and our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives to accelerate global problem solving will be on full display. We are planning plenty of exciting opportunities for our customers and partners to participate, win prizes, and become IT superheroes.

Imagine a world where… A generation with digital skills is thriving. A refugee becomes a sought-after employee. Military veterans excel in their second careers. Students create a sensor-enabled early warning system for earthquakes. All communities have access to clean water. A game warden can use data to protect endangered rhinos. Drones can replant a rainforest.
That world is here, that time is now. Welcome to the digital revolution.
