On March 22, 2017, Tetra Tech joins the global community in celebrating the 24th annual World Water Day. Tetra Tech is firmly committed to the World Water Day mission of taking action to address the global water crisis. Each year, World Water Day highlights a specific aspect of freshwater. This year’s theme—Why Wastewater?—focuses on achieving the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 target to reduce proportion of untreated wastewater by 50 percent and increase water recycling and safe reuse.

Through a partnership between the Major League Baseball Players Trust and the U.S. nonprofit Esperanza International, Major Leaguers are helping improve the lives of families across the Dominican Republic – a place so many Players call home.
Grants from the Players Trust help some of the Dominican Republic’s most vulnerable populations by supporting and funding Esperanza’s microfinance program and its water purification and distribution project.
The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs awarded the 2016 Secretary of State’s Award for Corporate Excellence (ACE) in Transparent Operations to Sociedad Minera Cerro Verde S.A.A.
The Secretary of State has awarded the ACE each year since 1999, in order to recognize U.S. companies representing American values in their business practices worldwide. Winning companies contribute to the growth and sustainable development of the local economies in which they work.
