After announcing the winners of the Beyond the Bag Innovation Challenge this week, the Consortium to Reinvent the Retail Bag virtually rang the Closing Bell for the New York Stock Exchange. Albertsons Companies and the other retail partners celebrated the 9 innovation challenge winners during the Closing Bell ceremony.
The Center for the Circular Economy at Closed Loop Partners announces the nine winners of the Beyond the Bag Challenge: ChicoBag, Domtar, Eon, Fill it Forward, GOATOTE, PlasticFri, Returnity, SmartC and Sway.
Goals include reducing use of virgin materials, scaling new solutions, diverting bags from landfills; efforts complement plastic reduction work already underway at Albertsons Cos.
