It’s easy to think the battle for LGBT rights is almost over in this country.
Public opinion has changed rapidly over the past decade, and the U.S. Supreme Court is widely expected to make same-sex marriage legal in all 50 states when it rules this June. But it’s premature to declare LGBT rights a settled issue. Much like the civil rights movement after the passage of major legislation, many issues in the struggle for equality remain unsettled.

In March, The New York Times ran a column declaring that "Fewer Women Run Big Companies Than Men named John." The article cited a Glass Ceiling Index that showed that Jims, Bobs, Jacks and Bills combined outnumber the total number of women among chief executives of S&P 1500 firms. A woeful sign that women still lag in leadership roles in corporate America.

Company Earns 100 percent on Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Thirteenth Annual Scorecard on LGBT Workplace Equality

A report from the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) gave several South Florida-based companies perfect scores in its 2015 Corporate Equality Index this week.
The assessment rated 781 U.S. companies on the equality of their employment opportunities, employment benefits, LGBT competency and public commitment to LGBT-specific efforts like marketing to LGBT consumers. Points were deducted if the company had any known activity that was seen as anti-LGBT in recent public records.
