Hurricane Ida Relief Efforts


Hurricane Ida, the fifth strongest hurricane to hit the U.S. mainland, has impacted thousands of people across the nation. Even ten days later, Ida left hundreds of thousands in Louisiana and the city of New Orleans without power.

The Home Depot Foundation Invests $150,000 to Support Homeless Veterans in Milwaukee

July 2, 2021 /3BL Media/ - The Home Depot Foundation announced today it has invested $150,000 to renovate Vets Place Central, a Center for Veterans Issues housing facility that provides 76 transitional residential units for veterans experiencing homelessness.  

The Home Depot Foundation and the Center for Veterans Issues will retrofit the units with renewed amenities to provide a safe, comfortable place that veterans can call home. The funds will help with renovations and upgrades to the flooring, mechanical features and bathrooms.  

The Home Depot Foundation Commits $375,000 to Combat Veteran Homelessness in Baltimore

The Home Depot Foundation announced today its commitment of $375,000 to create additional housing for those experiencing and at-risk of homelessness in Baltimore in partnership with Project PLASE (People Lacking Ample Shelter and Employment) and Beacon Communities LLC. The new units will provide transitional housing and access to critical support services.  

The Home Depot Foundation Invests $400,000 to Provide Housing for Homeless Veterans in Los Angeles

The Home Depot Foundation today announced its commitment of $400,000 to provide 136 permanent supportive housing units and critical support services for veterans experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles, in partnership with Step Up on Second Street.

The funds will enable Step Up to renovate a former motel to become the area’s newest veteran housing facility, where clients will have access to counseling, treatment and other services vital to help veterans transition to civilian life. The facility is projected to open to its first residents in September 2021.

The Home Depot Foundation Announced a $600,000 Grant to U.S.Vets to Combat Veteran Homelessness

The Home Depot Foundation today announced its commitment of $600,000 to support two housing facilities in Phoenix and Riverside, California.

In Phoenix:

The Home Depot Foundation will invest $300,000 to provide housing and access to critical supportive services for more than 180 homeless and at-risk veterans in Maricopa County, in partnership with U.S.VETS.
