To mark our 20th year in India, Bloomberg convened four distinguished corporate and financial heavyweights at a forum to discuss the country’s financial and economic future, drawing over 400 clients from leading corporations, regional and global banks and financial institutions, and top asset managers to Mumbai on October 21st.
The Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA) recently held the 2016 Awards for Editorial Excellence in Hong Kong, honouring Bloomberg News with its highest award for Excellence in Opinion Writing. The piece, titled, ‘The Roots of Rage’, by columnist Pankaj Mishra, was recognized for its deep, insightful analysis on the global rise of the Islamic State.
“A Trump presidency would probably not be the worst disaster, given that support is grandfathered in at the federal level,” said Jenny Chase, head of global solar analysis at Bloomberg New Energy Finance.
The Television Club at Bishop Kearney High School recently received a state-of-the-art renovation of its studio thanks to 21st Century Fox. The company purchased new equipment for the school's student-run news station, WBKS, and professionals from Fox 5 trained the students on how to operate it. The initiative comes as part of the company's commitment to support and develop the next generation of journalists and storytellers.
