The donation will allow Mrachek Middle School to bring its personal financial literacy class to all seventh grade students next school year, according to a news release from the district. The class teaches students practical skills like how to budget and how to save money.

In order to bolster resources for LGBTQ youth, the Pride program recently partnered with Subaru of America’s LGBTQ employee resource group Out+Ally, which has supported the organization in past initiatives. In addition to donating $7,000 in laptops to the Pride program so youth can ultimately keep going to work and school as well as communicate with their case managers, Out+Ally committed to working with the Pride Task Force, a group of young queer and trans alumni of the Pride program who push for LGBTQ youth housing and basic rights.
Subaru is not only one of Feeding America’s top supporters, but also a relatively new partner.
A few months ago, Subaru generously donated 50 million meals to Feeding America through a campaign that supported 199 food banks across the country. More recently, Subaru helped donate 100 million additional meals.
The company generously took the first step in sharing their recent donations on social media.
