ON Semiconductor Awards Over $305k in Grants to 19 Nonprofits Globally

Part of the community impact work that ON Semiconductor supports is through its Global Corporate Giving (GCG) Program, which strategically leverages our resources, talent and efforts to support nonprofits and educational institutions. 

Each year, we fund projects and programs in order to create social value and maximize our impact on communities through workplace giving and community grants. In 2018, we invested over $2 million USD to support of communities worldwide.

Black Employee Network (B.E.N.) is ON Semiconductor’s Newest Affinity Network Group

ON Semiconductor’s newest affinity group, the Black Employee Network or B.E.N., launched in July 2019. B.E.N. formed organically by a group of employees in Phoenix, Rochester and Sunnyvale. This group hopes to create an avenue to build relationships with people of similar backgrounds and likeness across the Black community and beyond at ON Semiconductor. We decided to use Black, rather than African American, because of the variation of lineage within the community and as a more inclusive perspective of the collective experiences in the US and across the globe.

This is the second time the company has been included in the index.

Renewable energy accounts for a third of global power capacity. By the end of 2018, the total renewable energy generation capacity reached 2,351 Gigawatts (GW). This includes hydropower (1,172 GW), wind energy (564 GW), solar energy (480 GW), bioenergy (121 GW), geothermal energy (13 GW) and marine energy (500 MW). Additionally, solar energy increased by 24% (94 GW) from 2017. Asia leads in global solar growth with China, India, Japan and the Republic of Korea contributing the most.

ON Semiconductor Recognized as Sustainability Champion With Award From Arizona Forward

ON Semiconductor was awarded the Award of Distinction by Arizona Forward, an organization devoted to sustainability progress for Arizona, for their outstanding contributions towards sustainability. 

Arizona Forward celebrated its 50th anniversary with the community during an awards gala on Saturday 21st, which drew over 650 social influencers and innovators representing public and social interests.
