Approximately 200 volunteers from Sands China Ltd. and local community groups recently worked together at The Venetian® Macao to build 40,000 hygiene kits for Clean the World, an international social enterprise that provides hygiene supplies essential for good health to populations in need around the globe, helping prevent the spread of disease.

Providing opportunities for Team Members and aspiring leaders at our Integrated Resorts is essential in nurturing their growth in hospitality at Las Vegas Sands. Sands China Ltd. recently honored 44 Team Member and about 200 local university student graduates from their training and development programs at a special ceremony.
In July 2017, a group of 25 Sands China Ltd. Team Members were selected as the first class of Sands China International Strategic Leadership Program for Integrated Resorts. The class graduated on November 17 with a commencement ceremony at Sands Cotai Central.
In the aftermath of recent typhoons, Sands China Ltd. contributed toward various disaster relief efforts aimed at Team Members and the wider community with transportation, technical and professional support, SME support, and long-term assistance.
Sands China pledged to donate $8.4 million – $3.7 million from Sands China and a $4.7 million contribution from the Adelson Family Foundation – to assist with longer term relief, recovery, and rebuilding efforts in Macao.
A group of 40 Sands China Care Ambassadors volunteered their time in February at Macau Holy House of Mercy’s Welfare Shop, helping distribute over 350 food hampers to disadvantaged families, sending them New Year’s blessings for the Year of the Rooster. The event marks the fifth consecutive year of Sands China Ltd.’s support, which also included a donation of MOP 300,000 presented by Sands China President Dr.
The hard work of Las Vegas Sands’ Team Members in Macao has earned the company yet another prestigious accolade. The Venetian Macao has achieved its third ISO certification by the International Organization for Standardization. This particular designation is for the property’s food safety management system – a first for an integrated resort or hotel in Macao. The scope of the certification covers receiving, storage, cooking, cooling and packaging of chilled food at the property's central kitchen, which serves Sands China Ltd. food and beverage operations.
