Lena Low learned the importance of doing the right thing early in her career when she worked with an emergency medical assistance company that flew teams out to help victims of the 2002 Bali bombing and the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004.
As news of the disasters broke, she watched in admiration as her colleagues headed to the airport with no thought of the cost of the operation but only one objective in mind: to save lives.

Unilever asks start-ups to help tackle the challenge of sustainable bathing
Unilever was asked to present at the first-ever “White House Demo Day” in August 2015. The event was comprised of more than 80 start-up founders and entrepreneurs from across the nation, who were asked to ‘demo’ stories about their individual innovation journeys.
As part of the initiative, The Department of Commerce also invited multi-national corporations, including Unilever, to present a technical innovation challenge to attendees.
