These upgrades were made possible by a $178,000 Sun Club® grant, allowing BBF to help achieve its Infrastructure Program goal of creating reliable, clean and affordable access to energy both in Pittsburgh and around the world.

PITTSBURGH, June 9, 2022 /3BL Media/ - On June 9, 2022, Pittsburgh-based nonprofit Global Links celebrates the completion of Phase II of its Energy Independence Project by flipping the switch on its newly installed LED lighting and motion sensor system. The reduction in energy use resulting from the replacement, coupled with energy generated from the 10,000 square-foot solar array installed on its headquarters as part of Phase I, will allow Global Links to produce 100% of its own energy needs, with the goal of achieving Net Zero.

Site specific preparation and student programming started in fall 2021, and work on this project will continue through the next year with the raising and dedication of the classroom planned for spring 2023.
