Employees volunteer to beautify outdoor areas at the Yale Street Empowerment Center
November 14, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Nearly 100 UnitedHealthcare employees today took part in a volunteer project to help renovate and beautify the community garden and outdoor patio area at Volunteers of America Texas’ Yale Street Empowerment Center. Volunteers helped stain outdoor wood structures, paint murals, install benches and fencing, and lay weed netting and pavers in the community garden.

Through CBS EcoMedia’s WellnessAd program, EmblemHealth will provide health care services to 250 medically underserved children in Harlem and Queens. EmblemHealth’s support will result in approximately 450 health care visits over the next year.
Partnership With National Recreation and Park Association to Enhance Youth Sports Programs in Baltimore and Serve More Youth in the Community
October 6, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Baltimore Chevrolet Dealers have partnered with CBS EcoMedia through its WellnessAd program to support Youth Sports Programs in Greater Baltimore through partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association. Funding will support the distribution of much-needed new uniforms and sports equipment to programs in Hartford, Howard and Cecil Counties, and Baltimore City. The programs aim to engage youth in after-school activities and empower them to build and hone the values and skills they need to achieve positive outcomes.

Through health and wellness initiatives, the SPG plants have worked to increase employees’ knowledge and awareness of their health. For 2013, a new initiative was created called the 4-1-1, which stands for 4 tests, 1 goal and 1 healthy life. This initiative was SPG-wide in the United States.

21st Century Fox served as the Founding Partner of the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games, which came to a close on Friday, June 20. Nearly 3,500 athletes competed in 16 Olympic-style games, which were hosted at several venues throughout New Jersey. In addition, more than 1,000 coaches, 10,000 volunteers and an estimated 70,000 spectators attended the events to lend their support.
