The Square Deal Blog welcomes Senior Vice President of Distribution, Logistics, Commodities and Industry Affairs, Josh Sell, to the blog. Josh works for Quality Supply Chain Co-op, Inc., also known as QSCC, which is tasked with supporting the Wendy’s supply chain. QSCC is expertly focused on the procurement, logistics and distribution of the delicious ingredients (ahem, like Wendy’s always fresh, never frozen beef*) you find at every Wendy’s restaurant.
Right around this time last year, millions of people in Texas and Louisiana were recovering from the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, the first major hurricane to make landfall in the United States since 2005. Shortly after Harvey, Hurricane Irma, the most intense hurricane to strike the continental U.S. since Hurricane Katrina, made landfall in Florida. And just when we thought it was all over, Hurricane Maria, now considered the worst natural disaster on record to affect Dominica and Puerto Rico, hit in mid-September.
We’re often asked if there’s a Wendy’s scholarship available to support students approaching college. With rising tuition rates, any amount of financial relief is helpful, and Wendy’s is proud to offer more than $60,000 of scholarship money to high school students graduating with the class of 2019.

A brand’s logo is a critical piece of a company’s visual ID. As you can imagine, building a brand is no small feat - advertisers, team members, agency partners and more pore over concepts. Books, papers and courses are dedicated to the art of making a memorable logo. And if you want to make changes to a logo, it typically takes months if not years – and for good reason.
Why, then, did we, Wendy’s®, remove the well-known pigtailed girl (or as we call it, the cameo) from our cup?
