Entry-Level Jobs to Start Your Responsible Career in Operations
For those interested in building a responsible career, it might seem as though there are no responsible jobs available out there. The US unemployment rate remained around 10% in August. which has further added fuel to the thought that the US is in jobless recovery. Moreoever, many young professionals get discouraged, because they don't understand that job postings are like 'wish lists'. In any economy, with optimism and the willingness to accept a job that is 'good enough' rather than to keep waiting for the 'perfect job' to come along, you might find out that there are numerous opportunities for you to start your responsible career!
Of course, responsible career decision making starts with knowing that type of responsible career function you want to compete for (for now). If you are not sure what your skills or work preferences are, see our previous posts on marketable skills for liberal arts students, MBA students, and self-assessment tools to get started in this process!
Not convinced that responsible career opportunities are out there? Well, don't believe me, believe the 178 new US-based entry-level responsible jobs that were added to our justmeans job board within the last month! In my future posts, I will feature responsible jobs taken out of these 178 responsible entry-level jobs. My hope is that these concrete examples of responsible jobs will help you, as young responsible professionals, get a better sense of the variety of responsible opportunities available for you to get business done better!
