BfG celebrates Earth Hour 2012

Last Saturday, March 31st at 8:30 pm, cities across the globe switched off their lights for one hour, working together to create a better future for our planet. Branding for Good is proud to have acknowledged the businesses in our neighborhood who have pledged to be part of the movement.

For every business that agreed to turn off their light, we placed a lantern in front of their door to celebrate their efforts. Then as a symbol of unison, we illuminated the Towne Square’s clock bringing a smile and reminder to everyone who passed by. Thanks to the efforts of our volunteers, staff and local BIA managers, the initiative was a great success!

Organized as a worldwide event in 2007, Earth Hour raises awareness of sustainability issues by asking individuals and businesses to keep all non-essential lights off for one hour. Beyond the simple act of turning off a light, the event is a collective display of commitment to a better future.

Last year it was the biggest year in the campaign’s 5 year history and had an estimated reach of 1.8 billion people across the globe. This year, on March 31st at 8:30 pm, we invite you to change the world you live in. Will you join us?

Branding for Good is a cause-branding and media creation agency. We define, refine and showcase your company’s social responsibility initiatives by designing brand content both online, in print and through engagement events.
