CNH Industrial Wins Three Brazilian REI Excellence and Innovation Awards

CNH Industrial N.V. and its brands have received three accolades at the tenth REI Awards, in Brazil, which recognize Excellence and Innovation. The REI Award highlights companies that deliver new value to the automotive industry, mobility and society, and take a leading role in transforming the world.

New Holland Agriculture, a global agricultural brand of CNH Industrial, was recognized for one of its initiatives to improve accessibility in the countryside which also improves farmers’ quality of life. The concept tractor, which has been adapted for people with reduced mobility, triumphed in the Agricultural and Construction Machinery category.

The accessible concept tractor’s purpose is to provide everyone, regardless of mobility issues, with the same working conditions, offering comfort, safety and performance. “We believe that it is possible to take the accessibility of the brand and products to a new level. We are monitoring this and are willing to develop solutions that assist in-field tasks, whether for a person with reduced mobility or other specific needs,” said Cláudio Calaça Júnior, Product Marketing Director, New Holland Agriculture, South America .

The tractor, developed in partnership with Elevittá (a company specializing in accessible vehicles), is equipped with a lifting platform and a joystick, enabling the operator to control the access to and from the tractor, as well as fully access the primary in-cab tractor controls which have been adapted to facilitate operation, are safe and deliver good ergonomic performance.

CNH Industrial was also recognized with an award in the Sustainability and Socio-Environmental Responsibility: Manufacturer category. This was for a specific volunteer project that facilitated the development of socially vulnerable young people.

And the third award went to FPT Industrial, the global Company brand dedicated to the manufacture of powertrain technology. The FPT Industrial F1C engine developed for commercial vehicles was recognized for its innovative combination of three different fuels, whilst delivering performance, versatility, durability and efficiency. The engine can be supplied with either compressed natural gas (CNG), biomethane or ethanol.
