India Social Enterprise Fellowship

How does this work?

Justmeans is recruiting a Social Enterprise Fellow to work out of our Pune, India office. The fellow will, among other things:

Develop and scale our research team
Develop a business strategy for Justmeans expansion into Asia in the first two quarters of 2010
Work with one of our partners to launch an annual conference on sustainable development in India
Work with our CEO, Martin Smith, to identify and secure founding academic and corporate partners for the launch of Justmeans Asia
Work with Ashoka Fellow and COO Kevin Long to develop an appropriate mobile technology strategy for India and beyond

Applicant Required Qualifications:

The entrepreneurial zeal, analytical acumen, humbleness and stamina to engage in the fast-paced and intense nature of the realities of a start-up company in the midst of extraordinary growth.
Innovative problem solving capabilities with superior interpersonal skills suitable for interacting with a wide range of executives.
The interpersonal skills to listen to partners, to understand client needs and to seamlessly transform requests into action.

Superior writing and communication skills.
An upbeat demeanor along with a sense of humor, a positive can-do attitude, and the humility to regularly incorporate the feedback of others into the work processes.
A Bachelor's degree is required; the ideal candidates will have recently completed an MBA or Masters program.
Significant travel experience and an easy going nature equipped to manage the frustration inherent to start ups.
A working knowledge of Hindi is preferred.
A deep understanding of Indian culture is not required but an appreciation of the benefits and challenges to working and living in a developing country is required.
An open mind, patience, and a deep appreciation of diversity are mandatory.

Submission Timeline:

April 6, 2009: Application Process Opens

April 6, 2009 - July 10^th - Invite your network to view your submission and comment on it at Justmeans.com/CSRIndia The overall results of the comments and views expressed on Justmeans will be taken into account in selecting the finalists for interviews.

July 11^th - July 19^th: Interviews and reference checks.

July 20^th, 2009: Winner announced

August 16^th, 2009 - August 31^st, 2009: - Two week training in either London or New York City

September 1^st, 2009 - May 31^st, 2010: Full time fellowship in India
