For the past 24 years, God's Love We Deliver has dedicated itself to the belief that no person in the New York City area should suffer the dual crises of hunger and serious illness. Every year, we cook and deliver fresh, delicious meals to nearly 4,000 individuals living with life-altering illnesses including HIV/AIDS, cancer, and Parkinson's. Since our founding in 1985, we have delivered over 10,000,000 meals and our services have always been provided free of charge, without regard to income. There has never been a waiting list.
Throughout New York City, tens of thousands of people struggle to feed themselves and their families everyday. Over 90% of our clients are living below the poverty level in some of New York City's poorest and most underserved neighborhoods. In addition to being poor, living with illness taxes our client’s physical ability to shop, cook and properly provide for themselves and their families. When people are sick, good nutrition is frequently one of the first things to deteriorate, making recovery that much harder, if not impossible. God's Love is the only city agency that provides nutritionally tailored meals to meet individual client needs.
Thanks to the support of our dedicated volunteers, our mission is made possible. Our 1,400 weekly volunteers are critically important to our day-to-day operations. We could not function, even for a single day, without their strong support.
This is a wonderful organization doing great things for people who really need the help. This summer, GLWD delivered its 10 millionth meal! I am honored to have been a volunteer there.

My family has made a commitment with GOD to volunteer our time on xmas day to an organization that help those in need. We have volunteered for 3 yrs come this christmas. The morning we deliver meals, I treat the kids to breakfast at our favorite diner. We pray for our family and for others. Once we finished our food/gift deliveries, we head home to open our gifts and finish up our christmas dinner. I hope to have more family members join us this year. Volunteering is cool! GOD BLESS

God's Love We Deliver has the right idea to make the world a better place. They have the right idea... a beautiful life-saving idea... simple... uncomplicated... profound and far-reaching! Feed sick people the good nutritious food they need...don't make them wait for it, and don't charge them for it...they're sick, and they need help from people who care. Teach them and others about the food that's best for people who are ill. Prepare it, and then deliver it to their homes. Lives will be saved...hearts, bodies and souls will have the chance for healing.
