Climate Change and Arizona: Experts Discuss the Impacts and the Future

Arizona’s three public universities come together to talk about solutions to climate challenges

(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) September 8, 2011 - Phoenix hit a record-setting mark this week for having the most 110 degree days, or higher, within a year – a scorching fact directly related to our changing climate. A panel of leading climate scientists from Arizona’s universities will discuss the impacts of climate change on Arizona’s water, energy, health, and economic systems. The solutions-focused discussion is scheduled for today, Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. The event is part of the Global Institute’s Sustainability Series, which convenes speakers for timely discussions on a range of environmental, social, and economic issues in interesting formats.

Panelists are available for interviews with members of the media immediately following the event from 4:30-5:00 pm.
