MicroEdge Announces Integration With Simplify

Dec 18, 2014 2:25 PM ET

New York, NY, December 18, 2014 /3BL Media/ – MicroEdge®, the leading provider of solutions to the giving community worldwide, recently acquired by Blackbaud Inc. (NASDAQ: BLKB), today announced the integration of Simplify with its GIFTS® family of grantmaking solutions.

Simplify is a collaborative effort between GuideStar® and the Technology Affinity Group (TAG) that eliminates the repetitive elements of applying for grants by allowing nonprofits to store standard grant application information in the GuideStar Exchange database. That information can then be seamlessly pulled into the application forms of grantmaking organizations that participate in the Simplify project. Simplify is now integrated with MicroEdge’s GIFTS, GIFTS Alta® and GIFTS Online® grant making solutions.

By integrating its grantmaking solutions with Simplify, MicroEdge is helping its clients to significantly reduce the time and effort required from nonprofit organizations to complete the grant application process. Standardizing the information grant applicants provide also ensures that grantmakers receive the most accurate information during the application process. The Simplify integration coincides with MicroEdge’s release of IGAM 6.0—the latest update to the leading online grantee portal—which lays the groundwork for the Simplify integration and also provides additional benefits to both grantees and grantmakers alike.

“The grant application process can be extremely time-consuming for the applicant and the grantmaker,” said Kristin Nimsger, CEO of MicroEdge, now part of Blackbaud's Foundation and Corporate Markets Group. “With the Simplify integration, we’re demonstrating our commitment to minimizing the time burden involved in that process so our clients can focus more of their time on fulfilling their mission, and grantees can save endless hours applying for grants and focus their time and energy on maximizing the outcomes of the programs that our clients are funding.”
