Moving Planet: A One Day Global Rally to Encourage Climate Action

(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) September 22, 2011 - On Saturday, September 24th, 350.org is hosting a worldwide rally to encourage leaders to enact climate policy and move beyond our dependence on fossil fuels. This global movement builds on local power and a unified voice for clean energy and bold commitments greenhouse gas reductions. Friends and supporters of Climate Counts are urged to support local Moving Planet activities.

Events include a 350-hour bike ride in Indonesia, an ‘Eco-lympic torch” procession through Rio de Janeiro, and a music festival/rally/solar-powered dance party with free Ben and Jerry’s ice cream in Montpelier, Vermont!   Wherever you are in the world, it’s likely that there’s an event to attend: http://www.moving-planet.org/map.
